About a month ago I had the absolute pleasure of going on "mini tour" with an incredible artist Noah Vonne. As I've talked about quite a bit over the last couple of years my ultimate end goal from a photography perspective is to be able to get on tour with an artist. To me, getting the opportunity to capture the intimate moments and to document the process of art being created is one of my biggest dreams.
I consider myself a documentary photographer, so being able to photograph these processes were surreal to say the least. I have been pushing myself to have this sort of opportunity happen and it was one of those pinch me moments in my young photography career.
The tour wasn't long, it only lasted a weekend.

It didn't span thousands of miles. But from NYC to Boston & Back.

It didn't always go as planned.

But what it did do, is feed the fire inside of me to create more of these moments for myself. To go out and try even harder to get the chances to be the person who documents these special moments for artists because it's what fills me up in my own career.
Being able to go behind the curtain, to step behind the scenes and eventually get deeper and closer with artists is the only thing I want to do now. There is plenty of other pictures for me to take, plenty of other jobs to pay the bills, but inevitably my journey will lead me back to these types of moments. The ability to marry music and photography will forever be my dream and one I will continue to chase.
So if you're an artist or know a musician who needs someone to document their next show or tour hit me up! @johnpicciuto <3
